Heat sensing thermal technology used in rescuing tornado victims.

Thermal imaging cameras were among the Hi-Tech military equipment used in searching for victims of the tornado that hit Oklahoma, New York on Monday.

Rescue teams searched through the debris as soldiers who were also shaken by the incident secured the parameter and looking for surviving bodies using heat sensing thermal technology. 2nd Lt. Gabriel Bird said that thermal imagers helped them to see cold warm bodies of people in the dark. He also admitted that these equipment served as night vision which aided their searches during the nights and in low light instances.
