Piper City Fire Department use donation to procure a thermal imaging camera

A sum of $2,500 was received by the Piper City Fire Department as a donation from the Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Communities program. This is they used to acquire a thermal imaging camera.

The thermal imaging camera according to Fire Chief Anthony Lane, will improve their department’s ability to find people who are trapped and not visible in a blazing structure.

The gadget assists firemen in locating also hidden hot spots in a structure even after a fire has been put out.
