Woman rescued from river with thermal vision

A woman was rescued by the emergency services after having fallen into the River Goyt in Greater Manchester. With the help of a thermal imaging camera which was mounted on a helicopter, the woman was spotted in the river at Strines, near Stockport. She was then rushed to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia which was caused by the 36 year old woman being stuck in the river for about 30 minutes. Without the thermal camera’s vision, this woman would have been missing.
