The first stage is a pre-filter which removes large particle contaminants such as dust and pet dander.
The second stage is an Ultra Violet lamp. This lamp is sterilises the air and wipes out micro organisms (acts as a supplement to the Ti02 filter medium in stage 4).
Stages three and four are the Active Carbon filter and the Titanium Oxide (Ti02) features. The active carbon filter neutralises odours and the titanium oxide activates under UV light and deodorises and destroys airborne bacteria which reduces the impact of germs and viruses.
The fifth stage is the PLASMA generator. This generates negatively charged oxygen which removes contaminates such as fungi, viruses (including the swine flu virus), microbes, bacteria, mould spores and dust mites.
In addition to the filtration process this air purifier has a built in ioniser, the ioniser adds negative ions to the air which makes the air feel fresh and clean.
The unit is simple to use, there is a built in timer for up to 8 hours with an auto shut off. All operations for this unit are controllable via the remote control.
The unit has 3 fan speeds with a maximum decibel rating of 30 dB(a), on the lowest fan speed the unit is whisper quiet.
Regular filter replacement is a must for hygienic, trouble-free operation. The filter should be changed every 6 months and The UV lamp should give 6,000 hours of continuous operation before replacement is required.
